Set up your company

  1. Open app.turtlescopic.com and sign in with the email your invite went to. We email a link and an 8-digit code; no password.
  2. In Settings → Company & people, invite your team by email and pick each person's role: owner, admin, estimator or field tech.
  3. Send each person their invite link. They join when they open it and sign in with that email.
  4. Add your first client and job from Jobs → New client & job. Assign the crew who'll work it.

Install the phone app

The phone app is for the crew in the field. It signs in with the same email as the web.

  • Android: install Turtle Scope from the link your company sends (Google Play listing coming soon).
  • iPhone: until the App Store version is out, open app.turtlescopic.com/field in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. It opens like an app and works offline.
  • Sign in: enter your email, then the 8-digit code from the email.
  • Allow the camera and location when asked: location stamps each photo with where it was taken.

Connect GoHighLevel

  1. In GoHighLevel, create (or pick) your company's sub-account and load the Turtle Scope Standard snapshot. We send it to you during setup.
  2. In Turtle Scope, an owner or admin opens Settings → Integrations → Connect GoHighLevel and picks the sub-account.
  3. Choose the pipeline and the stage new jobs start in. Turtle Scope checks the snapshot and lists anything missing.
  4. From then on, new clients become contacts and new jobs become opportunities. Anything that couldn't sync shows a red Not synced badge with a Retry button.

Working offline

Open the app once with signal so your job list downloads. After that you can take photos, mark them up, add measurements, and (for the office) add new clients and jobs with no signal at all. A banner says you're offline; each job shows how many items are waiting. Everything uploads when you're back online. The Sync tab shows exactly what's left.

Questions

What happens to photos taken with no signal?
They save on the phone first, with everything else you did on the job. When the phone is back online they upload by themselves, the biggest files in pieces so a dropped connection picks up where it left off. A photo stays on the phone until the server confirms it has it. The app shows how many are waiting.
Will it make duplicate contacts in GoHighLevel?
No. Turtle Scope looks for an existing contact by phone number, then by email, before creating one, and remembers the GoHighLevel id for each client. Retries never create a second contact or opportunity.
Who can see what?
Owners and admins see and manage everything, including settings and people. Estimators see every job. Field techs see only the jobs they are assigned to and can add photos, marks and measurements there. One company can never see another company’s data.
Can one person work for two companies?
Yes. Accept both invites with the same email; switch companies from the top of the screen.
Where is my data kept?
In the United States, encrypted in storage and in transit, on Supabase (database and files) and Vercel (the web app). See the privacy policy.
How do I leave and take my data with me?
Email office@flowsourcemedia.com. We'll export your jobs and photos, then delete them; see the data deletion page.
